An exciting opportunity exists for a Part Time Community & Cultural Services Programs Assistant to join our team in Community Services. Reporting to the Departmental Administration Officer - CCS, this position is responsible for supporting the delivery of inclusive and engaging programs that strengthen community connections across Isaac. This role involves assisting with the planning and implementation of events, activities, and services for diverse audiences, maintaining accurate records, promoting Council initiatives, and managing resources. By fostering positive relationships and actively engaging with community members, the position contributes to building capacity, encouraging lifelong learning, and enhancing social cohesion throughout the region.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Have a strong community-focused mindset and a genuine commitment to delivering inclusive programs for diverse audiences of all ages.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to actively engage with community members in face-to-face settings.
  • Be confident in leading or supporting interactive programs such as reading sessions, workshops, and technology-based learning activities.
  • Possess strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records, manage resources, and support program delivery across multiple locations.
  • Show flexibility and willingness to travel within the region and work outside standard business hours when required.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment while building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Display initiative, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in a dynamic, community-facing role.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital technologies to enhance program delivery.
  • Hold a current C Class Open Australian Driver’s Licence and a valid Blue Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).

If you are successful in this position, you will receive:

  • Salary $40.00- $42.94 per hour
  • Nominally 50 hours per fortnight – exact days/ times to be discussed in the next stages
  • Pro-rata 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
  • Up to 14.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
