Labourer - Parks and Recreation - St Lawrence

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Labourer-Parks and Recreation to join our Engineering and Infrastructure directorate in St Lawrence. Reporting to the Team Leader - Parks and Recreation, this position is responsible for the care, maintenance and development of the green spaces.

This includes all our parks, gardens, reserves, cemeteries, sporting precincts, aerodromes, some roadsides, community facilities in our smaller towns, camping areas and minor road maintenance. The position will ensure that St Lawrence and surrounds maintains its strong attractive visual appearance, and that quality produces positive results from the Regions community, residents and visitors.
  
ABOUT YOU
  • Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general maintenance and gardening
  • The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • A sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
  • A White Card - Construction Induction
  • A ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
  • The ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing
  • Relevant certification for the operation of plant and equipment, horticulture and poison operation - highly regarded
  • ‘LR’ Class Drivers Licence - highly regarded

  • $65,227.21 - $66,375.54 per annum + allowances (Stream B, Level 2 – 3)
  • Nominally 76 hours over a 9-day fortnight
