Become part of the future of regional education

EOI are now open for Isaac’s Country University Centre Community Board.

At Isaac, we remain resolute in our mission to secure high-quality tertiary education opportunities in our region.

Right now, Isaac Regional Council is working with the Country Universities Centre to establish a Regional University Hub in our region to provide local tertiary education access.

Isaac Regional Council is seeking community champions to create a voluntary Community Board to help drive this project into fruition. We’re looking for individuals with strong collaborative skills and the ability to build strong relationships amongst a diverse mix of stakeholders. Individuals must also possess a passion and enthusiasm for creating educational opportunities for regional and remote students.

As a board member you will join group of passionate life-long learners dedicated to changing the future of regional education by bringing degrees closer to regional and rural Australians.

How to apply

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their expression of interest via a 1–2-page cover letter and Curriculum Vitae. Applications should outline the applicant’s experience working with or on committees or boards and highlight relevant skills across one or more of the following categories:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Finance/Accounting
  • Law
  • Marketing/Public Relations
  • Business Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Community Health
  • Education

Expressions of interest need to be submitted to Beau Jackson Acting Head of Advocacy and External Affairs via email beau.jackson@isaac.qld.gov.au  by COB Tuesday, 5 December 2023.  Individuals may be contacted past closing date for more information to assist with the shortlisting process.
