To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Hold Electrical Trade qualifications, relevant licensing, a C Class Driver Licence, General Induction Card, and the ability to obtain Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus immunisations.
  • Demonstrate strong experience in the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of electrical systems, equipment and control/telemetry infrastructure.
  • Apply sound knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, standards and codes, ensuring all work meets regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently using appropriate testing equipment, tools and troubleshooting methods.
  • Contribute to planned and preventative maintenance programs to optimise the reliability and efficiency of water, wastewater and waste assets.
  • Inspect, audit and verify electrical work for regulatory compliance, providing recommendations for improvements where required.
  • Work effectively within a team, showing strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Support contract management, programming and scheduling of works, including accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Be willing to work across the Isaac region, participate in rostered hours and the on‑call roster, and travel to various sites as needed.
  • Successfully complete pre‑employment medical, functional capacity and behavioural assessments, ensuring fitness for work.  

If you are successful in this position, you will receive:

  • Salary $68,967.43 per annum plus allowances (Level C10, Stream C), including:-
    • $21,000 Over Award Payment
    • Construction workers allowance
    • Locality allowance
    • Tool allowance
  • Subsidised Council housing for just $80 per week in either Moranbah or Dysart
  • Tool of Trade Vehicle
  • Nominally 38 hours per week with flexible work pattern options
  • 5 weeks annual leave per annum @ 17.5% loading
  • 15 days personal leave per annum
