St Lawrence residents are advised that a full outdoor water use ban is now in place until further notice.

Council has identified that water use within the township is currently exceeding the rate at which water can be produced due to a leak somewhere within the water supply system or high water usage. Council is trucking additional water into the community to meet demand, but it is essential that residents help conserve water to maintain supply levels while investigations continue.

OUTDOOR WATER USE BAN

Residents are requested to:

  • Do not use sprinklers
  • Do not use hand-held hoses
  • Do not wash vehicles
  • Do not fill swimming pools or spas
  • Avoid all other non-essential outdoor water use

Council is actively investigating the source of the leak and asks the community to assist by reporting any suspected water leaks or unusual water flows.

WATER DISCOLOURATION

Residents may notice temporary discolouration in their water supply. While the water may appear discoloured, it remains safe to drink and use for normal household purposes.

Council appreciates the community's cooperation and understanding while these measures are in place.

Conserving water now will help maintain essential water supplies for all residents while the issue is resolved.

If you notice a water leak, please contact Council immediately on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
