Affordable Housing Trust breaks new ground in Clermont

The Isaac Affordable Housing Trust (IAHT) has turned the sod on its next major development, a 23-unit project in Clermont supported by the Queensland Government.
Isaac Mayor Kelly Vea Vea said once completed, the project will bring the total number of affordable homes delivered to 53 since she became Mayor
“We’re not just talking about housing; we’re getting it built. Every key turned in one of these homes means another family, senior or essential worker can stay local and build their life here. Clermont is the next step in making sure every Isaac town has the homes it needs to stay strong and liveable.”
Minister for Housing and Public Works, Hon. Sam O’Connor MP, said the Isaac Affordable Housing Trust’s partnership is a strong example of regional delivery in action.
“Partnerships like this are vital to delivering more housing across regional Queensland. The Isaac Affordable Housing Trust is showing real leadership by turning plans into homes which will make a real difference for local seniors, workers, and families who keep our regional towns strong.”
Chair of the Isaac Affordable Housing Trust, Councillor Melissa Westcott, said the Trust’s growing pipeline is making a real difference.
“The Trust’s momentum is growing with every project. Clermont is the next step in a regional housing program that has ramped up delivery over the last 12 months. Dysart is next in our sights, and we’re determined to keep that delivery rolling right across Isaac,” Cr Westcott said.
The Isaac Affordable Housing Trust is led by a volunteer board in partnership with Isaac Regional Council. With continued Queensland Government funding and industry support, the Trust is proving that regional housing challenges can be met with local solutions and real results.
