Council is pleased to advise that water storage levels in Clermont continue to improve following recent operational challenges at the Clermont Water Treatment Plant.
Thanks to the ongoing efforts of Council crews and the support of the Clermont community in using water wisely, the town's water supply situation has continued to stabilise.
As a result, residents are now permitted to use sprinklers on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
We thank the Clermont community for your patience, cooperation and commitment to conserving water during this period. Your efforts have helped stores continue to improve and supported the ongoing recovery of the town's water supply system.
Important reminders:
- Residents can continue using water for essential household activities, including showering, bathing, washing clothes and flushing toilets.
- All hand-held targeted water use remains permitted.
- This includes hand watering gardens, washing vehicles and filling or topping up swimming pools.
- Sprinkler use is permitted on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
- We encourage residents to continue using water responsibly to help maintain supply security while recovery efforts continue.

Council advises that while recent operational improvements at the Clermont Water Treatment Plant indicated the system was stabilising, further issues have since emerged, impacting the town's water supply recovery efforts.
Council crews continue to work around the clock to monitor the water treatment plant and maintain water supply to the community while these issues are addressed.
Current water storage levels are:
- Tank 1 is currently at 57%
- Tank 2 is currently at 66%
We are asking all residents to continue using water carefully to help maintain essential supplies while crews work to resolve the issues.
