Council advises that upgrade works at the Dysart Waste Management Facility, as part of the Repurpose to Transfer Station Project, have now commenced.
Construction activities are underway on site and will continue over the coming months to improve operational efficiency, enhance site functionality and support more efficient waste management services for the Dysart community.
Construction period
- Commencing: Mid-August 2026
- Duration: Approximately 16 weeks
- Completion: Expected December 2026
The facility will remain open and operational throughout construction.
What to expect
As construction activities are now underway, visitors to the facility may notice:
- Temporary changes to internal traffic routes and access arrangements
- Increased construction vehicle movements
- Temporary restrictions around work areas
- Minor delays at times
Visitors are asked to:
- Report to the site office on arrival
- Follow directions from site staff
- Comply with temporary traffic signage and designated routes
